We have three fine chefs from across the Mohawk Valley who were

Celebrity Judges this year:
Randall Brown
is chef/owner of Beardslee Castle
in Little Falls which he renovated and opened in 1994. A
30 year veteran of fine dining, his prior work included managing
The Bird & Bottle Inn in Garrison, NY and The White Inn
in Fredonia, NY. In addition to his his self taught kitchen
skills he has an extensive background in wine, service &
marketing. Beardslee Castle has garnered many honors as
a historic fine dining destination in addition to it’s
fame as a memorable wedding venue. It is located on Route
5, six miles east of Little Falls.

Gino Laurenzo:
Chef/Owner Rio Grande Tex Mex Grill

Oneida Street in Washington Mills will be the second judge.
Gino
Laurenzo has been chef since opening Rio Grande Tex-Mex
grill in September of 2000. Gino is a native Houstonian who
has been in the food business all his life. His dad, Tom Laurenzo
owned and operated Rio Grande Food Products - a wholesale producer
of pizzas and packaged corn tortillas. Gino's mom,
Ninfa Rodriguez Laurenzo, opened Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant
in 1973 and was hailed as one of the first people in the USA
to make authentic, fresh homemade Mexican food. Gino
and his family invite you to enjoy the same fresh homemade Mexican
food his family has been making for generations.

Luke Barrett:
Chef/Owner of the soon-to-be-opened “The
Willows ”, at the former location of Café
Canole at 900 Culver Avenue in east Utica. Luke Barrett is a
graduate of Johnson-Wales Culinary School. A native of
Little Falls, he has been most recently served in the kitchens
as Staff
Chef at the Dorset Inn, Dorset, VT and Alexander Hamilton Inn
from 2004 until 2007 when he was the Executive Chef.
His new venture, “The Willows ” is
in the final phase of construction and is due to open by early
spring of this year.
